Dear Jackie
Our garden is coming to life in 2010! I’m “gardening” a bit already. Once the ground thaws and the danger of frost passes, it’s time to admire the plants, plant the veggies and pursue my “bird and butterfly garden”.
We really enjoyed working with you on the re-landscaping of our home. At the outset I thought that our project would be too small to be of interest to a professional landscaping company. Well you proved me wrong. At the start of our project we completed a customer survey. This was most helpful in causing us to determine what we wanted. I urge your potential clients to take that document seriously.
You seemed to have a genuine interest in our project from the start. We appreciate your willingness to re-work the plan to get one we felt comfortable with. And then, as good detailed customers, we changed our mind on the front yard midway through the work to add more planters and expand the layout. Your willingness to accommodate those changes made a lasting impact on the curb appeal of our home.
Being somewhat of a do-it-yourself person, I was hesitant to turn over the full project to you. It didn’t take me long to realize I could use a full summer of weekends and evenings and still be working on an incomplete project. Overall the clearing of the site to get a starting point and the hardscaping to get the lawn, planting and garden areas ready via the visible such as stone planters and paths and the invisible such as French drains was the majority of the work. I really appreciated your insight to raise the rear yard via an 18-inch retaining wall. This work alone represented several days of the project but we now have a level yard with a much nicer feel. You proved to me that the major work is best done by a professional landscaping crew who comes with their many machines and much equipment.
We really appreciate your attention to the size and type of plants that would fit our needs and budget. This again had its foundation in the customer survey. The mixture of rundle rock, finding a cost effective stone for the planters, the installation of the cedar lattice screen and the use of the black pine mulch really give the project a modern and sharp appearance.
I enjoyed working with Woodpecker. I would work with you again and recommend your company to others. A bit of feedback is to toot your company’s capabilities a bit more. Only through talking with you during the project did we realize the scope of the services you offer. Far more than we used!
